Bekir Bozdağ (born April 1, 1965 in Akdağmadeni, Yozgat) is a Turkish theologian, lawyer and politician. On July 6, 2011 he was appointed as the Deputy prime minister in the third cabinet of Erdoğan.[1]
He was born on April 1, 1965 in Akdağmadeni of Yozgat Province. After completing his higher education in theology at the Uludağ University in Bursa, he gained a master's degree in history of theology at the same university. Later, Bekir Bozdağ attended Selçuk University in Konya and graduated with a degree in Law. Before he entered politics, he worked as a lawyer.[1]
He was elected into the parliament three times in 2002, 2007 and 2011.[1]
He is married and father of three children.[1]
